At Hamilton Zoo.

It was a sunny morning, as we walked through the entrance into the Zoo. I saw a lot of schools.
We all had to split up in groups that Mrs Thompson put us in. I had to go with Mrs Draper, Brogen, Madeline and Jahnyva.
First, my group looked at the native birds. As I walked in, there were was a cage that had birds in.The native birds had brown feathers, and strong wings. They were staring at us like we were going to do something bad to them.
Next, we went to see the White Rhinos. They had dry scaly skin and dirty backs. They were walking really slowly like they were tired. Their enclosure was so big and full with dirt.
“Look at the Rhinos!” I shouted.
We then went to see the furry Red Pandas. They had red bushy tails, with black fur at the ends. They were curled up, in a ball fast asleep. They were not moving so we started to move on.
Finally, we went through the cafe and into the education classroom. As I walked in, there was a zoo keeper named Matt.

When everyone sat down Matt talked about a tiger having her babies, and animals moving to the Auckland Zoo and also a chimp that got sad and broke the outside window.
Matt also talked about animals living many years ago.
After Matt had finished talking, we all had a chance to look around. There were bones, cracked eggs, stoats and dead animals.
I hope we can go to the Zoo again.
